Letting Go of Things

We all have things in our life that we hang onto on both a physical and emotional level. Today is a great day to get rid of something that is burdensome, enabling us to make room for something better.

Music is quick therapy, so just:

1. Turn up your device’s volume.

2. Think of something you are still holding onto that feels like a burden. It might be something you can actually bag up and move along, like old clothes or unused items in your garage. It could also be something emotional in nature, like a friend that does not treat you well or a grudge from the part you are carrying around still today.

3. Write down a few words that best describes how having these objects or feelings in your life is impacting you.

4. Click on the photo below, which will redirect you to YouTube and listen to the song.

5. Take whatever action today is necessary to start ridding yourself of the burden. Clean out the closet, call a friend who does treat you well to say hello, sit quietly in meditation and picture laying the grudge at your feet.
